Taken from wikipedia: "Guinness's iconic stature is partly due to its advertising. The most notable and recognisable series of adverts was created by Benson's advertising, primarily drawn by the artist John Gilroy, in the 1930s and 40s. "
The famous Guinness ads were nice and innocent drawings that featured mostly animals (like the iconic toucan) or typical middle class men, accompanied by short catch-phrases like "My Goodness, My Guinness!" or "Lovely Day For a Guinness"
I decided to add a little spice to the old Guinness ads with this retro American style pin up homage to my favorite Irish Beer
Just out of curiosity, would anyone be interested in purchasing a print of this ad?
how much u want for something like this? ive got a collection of pub style beer mirrors and i think this would go up nicely with them. great work either way.
Other than the background and fonts, is the rest (the girl and the Guinness glass) your own drawings/designs?
